Jessica and Chris McDaniel have a combined 30 years of well cementing experience focused on proper design, execution and evaluation of cement jobs.  Chris’s work has focused primarily on offshore projects in Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and Australia.  Jessica has worked across several major US shale plays including the Permian, Haynesville, Eagle Ford, Marcellus and Utica basins, as well as offshore California, Gulf of Mexico and Alaska.

 

As subject matter experts, Chris and Jessica have worked with operators to improve life-of-well cement performance in development fields and reduced cementing costs through failure-avoidance and system optimization.  Their contributions to major operators range from ensuring cement slurries are fit-for-purpose in the design phase, to supporting critical operations on-location, to providing post-job quality assurance of cement job data, independent pressure matching, and cement sheath evaluation.  Across the board, these have resulted in successful completion of critical cementing operations and significant cement NPT reductions compared to average performance in the field.

 

In addition to working with operators they have worked with regulators to help create effective and practical cementing regulations to help redefine how long-term cement integrity is measured and understood. Jessica has been certifying primary construction and decommissioning cement programs for over 12 years.  She has certified over 450 wells in the Gulf of Mexico and California coast.

 

In their free time, Jessica and Chris support their two energetic boys in all of their endeavors.
